Mountains don't have ears govs will prevail govs 49 heritage 20. if we play as good as we did Friday we can win alot of the games coming up only 2 I see that will be tough is Maryville and Bradley

looking ahead G18(G91)? That was a good win last Friday no doubt about it! Just from reading coacht and nothing else I would say the stars aligned for WB last week. If you don't know what I'm referring too then ok will agree to disagree.

If you are trying to say that WB was lucky to win, I disagree. What I saw is the Govs put together 4 qtrs of good football for the first time in ages. They didn't turn the ball over and make boneheaded mistakes and made plays in critical situations. There were several times where our receivers made clutch catches on 3rd down situations as they were getting lit up by DB defenders. Furthermore, the Govs battled back from a 14 point deficit and DB only scored 1 more TD after their 21 point first Qtr. The Govs deserved that win.

Not lucky at all. Agree with most of your view on how the game went for WB. Would like to add that WB took advantage of some of DBs misfortunes also. Having to play 4qtrs the week before,

Suspension of a good player, QB playing for 1 1/2 qtrs. So all the good that WB did + the intangibles= WB 3-2 before the off week losing to the neers and 7-3 reg season also losing to the Rebs. Smiley face.

But here's what you don't know. That backup QB for DB was a pretty darn good athlete and was an accurate passer. Also, WB's best receiver, Hannah, had a banged up ankle and was on the bench quite a bit during that game. Last week against OR, DB turned the ball over 5 times, but they only turned it over once against WB. As far as penalties go, both teams had some costly penalties, but WB overcame them better than DB did.

Ok you where there and I've agreed with you mostly. The starting QB for DB is very good player and means a lot to his team. Put up 21pts in one qtr. Take "the kid"away In that game how many pts does WB score? Just asking for the stars to align out mountaineer way.

Correction, he put up 14 points. One of DB's tds was when they returned the opening kickoff. I cant remember who that was, but it was not the QB.

    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
