Hats off to a great Catholic team!

Irish just had too much.

Wish Belfry would have held up their end of putting in a great show but when you put it on the ground nine times and lose six you can't expect to beat a team that stout.

No excuses though. Of those six lost fumbles most were the product of either great hits or great plays in the ball.

I also don't think we even saw Catholics "A-Gane" or even close to it. Lots of penalties.

Catholic took care of business and Belfry couldn't move Cunningham. Rodgers is simply special and someone needs to take a chance on Cunningham because his arm is special.

When Belfry wasn't fumbling or getting penalties to keep them behind the sticks they really shows how tough they were on Offense but at the end of the day it was clear KnoxCath was the superior team on this night

Was pleasantly surprised with how Knox Cath hit on D.

Great win by the Irish! We had the normal explosive plays on offense but tonight I was impressed by our D. Belfry was big and physical but the Irish played with a defensive toughness that we haven't always seen. Belfry had 8-10 fumbles caused by BIG hits.

I thought we did a much better job kicking the ball tonight but still had too many penalties for my liking. Be interested to see the total penalties on both teams. Zebras were definitely out to show they had control of the game. I think Coach Matthews may have made an early exit and I know the Belfry staff was put into their place several times in front of us.

Should be a game both teams benefit from. Belfry saw a very explosive offense and hard hitting D and the Irish faced a team that could meet their physicality up front and really executed their offense. Impressed with their lines and the QB did a very good job running the offense. Tough to make a run at the Irish when you get down and can't/don't throw the ball.

Travel home safely Pirates and good luck on the way to another state title!

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
