Can you not read? Your own article states that both offense have scored around 43 points a game and that is "similar numbers". My stats came from looking up both teams schedule and who both have played so far and that's were the Maryville's opponents are 20-17 on the year and the teams Oakland have beat are 10-17. I thought you were a sports writer? I already said you held those teams to 20 points but their record is still 10-17 (not a good record).

Please tell me were I reference the past in my last post?

Maybe I am missing something but has East Tennessee played more games? 20-17 vs 10-17. How has Maryvilles opponents played 10 more games than Oaklands opponents?

Sorry never heard of ya.

That's because I have been assigned Middle Tennessee by M Preps to cover the region as one of  the fastest growing high school football regions in the country. More D1 players have come out of this region than any other in the southeast. I have been covering high school football in the mid west out of Ohio for 28 years...Things are totally different down here. Sports writers vote on pols but there in no criteria for the vote so basically its a popularity contest and when only a 3rd of the eligible voters vote and 70% of them are from East Tennessee its no wonder the polls are always skewed. In Ohio the polls are based like the NCAA, Games won, points scored, defense and strength of schedule. Polls here in Tennessee are based on nothing. Just trying to create conversation..

Your definitely right things are different down here, and most could care less about polls. But will just keep taking it 1 week at a time, and before long will put your criteria up against our little fellas from 825 Lawrence and see how it all plays out.
