will henry co ever win another state title

i just dont see the passion as it once was for patriot football does anyone else think they will win a state title anytime soon.

I don't believe the passion, at least on the football side of things, has changed much. Crowds haven't been the same the last couple of years but I think that speaks more on spoiled fans than the team.

Very very true!! If we aren't undefeated some fans are not as interested.

Maybe I'm not as attentive as I used to be, but the crowds have still seemed fine to me.. Both at home and especially on the road. I'm just not seeing where there is a lack of passion. Not with the fans and certainly not with the team. Other than the 1st half of the West Creek game, they've basically done what you would want to see a young team do: Take their lumps and improve over time. They've lost 2 games by a total of 5 points and won 3 by 112.

 

As far as state championships go, I don't have a crystal ball, but I agree with gbrpats that they will have a pretty good shot in '17. We have a boat load of underclassmen either starting or getting a ton of playing time this year. Heck, I still think there is potential there for the team to make some late noise this year.

I tend to agree. The team is young and could have something special with that QB. I look for a long run next year and I don't think they will be one and done this year either.

The night you all played Liberty I was at Sparky's Puzza before the game. You guys packed that place out. Fans seemed to be plenty supportive to me.

Agree do not count out this years team at all. I believe we are one of the best two lose teams in the state

That has very little to do with passion. The stuff you're referring to is about talent and execution. There is much talent in place, but a lot of it is young talent that is still learning how to execute.

 

If you're expecting 2011-level dominance every other year, you're going to be disappointed. We aren't playing against air. In the wise words of a coach whose name escapes me, "It ain't easy, makin' it look easy!"

My comment wasn't a dig at the majority of the fanbase, and HC still travels well. You're going to have a tough time convincing me Patriot Stadium has been consistently packed and as loud these past couple of years, though.b
