Boone vs Crockett Musket Bowl 16

This is a even bigger game this year with pride and playoffs on the line for these two rivals. What's everyone's thoughts????

Boone leads the series 33-12 since 1971.

Crockett won the game last year 52-26.

Crockett also won the first game in 1971 74-0.

Both teams this year lost to both Morristown's, both beat Cocke County and both beat Tenn High.

Crockett beat Sevier Co and Boone lost to Sevier Co, that's the only difference.

Looks like a tossup.

Yea I think Boones O - line could be a difference maker in this game they are big and nasty up front Crockett is kinda small on the D-Line and Boones QB. Crockett D has to have a big game stop the run which is what Boone does make them beat you passing.

Big game.  Correct me if I am wrong.  I was on the tssaa website and looked at 5A Region 1.  If Crockett wins, Crockett gets the 3rd place slot and Sevier gets the 4th slot.  If Boone wins, three way tie for those two slots.  Boone gets 3rd because they beat Crockett in head to head and have a better overall record, Crockett gets 4th over Sevier because they beat Sevier in the head to head and have a better overall record.

I think you are right.    Crockett is in no matter what.   So this game is for position.    And boone must win to get in.

Hoping for a clean game.    Both teams are well aware of the TSSAA sanctions and we don't want to go there again

It's almost time! I hope it's also a clean game, but aggressive. I understand that players on both sides will be drawing attention from some colleges at this game. It's been a long time since college coaches attended the Musket Bowl. To me, that is attributed to coaching from both teams. I just can't put a prediction on this game, it is a complete, "who wants it bad enough" game. So, I hope these boys show out.

Yea over here counting the hours down!!! Boone has 3 O Linemen getting looks colleges I'm sure Shelton and Cole are getting some too. Crockett Lewis is getting alot of looks with 3 D1 offers so far as a junior and a couple more from Crockett getting smaller school looks. TN Gridiron Scouting will be on hand the Musket Bowl is there game of the week they do alot to get kids in East Tennessee recruited.
