South Pitt vs Greenback (Grider against this Ryan and KilPatrick')

I honestly think Greenback is a much tougher matchup for SP than Coalfield would have been. Coalfield would NEVER slow SP down this season. Thinking back through our past three meetings with them I don't think we have punted 5 times total. Greenback is tougher for us because you boys have better line play than Coalfield.

We are a lot faster than Coalfield too!

I totally agree with you. Greenback doesn't have Marion or SP speed, but you have good speed for sure. I can say without hesitation we would have beaten Coalfield soundly. Greenback gives us more problems.

have you all played a passing team this season? The six games that I have watched the teams that you all have played seems to be pretty much just a run team.

We haven't played a lot of passing teams. We played a few weaker teams that tried to pass a lot. Here is the problem I see with passing teams. Some incomplete passes stop the clock and lengthen the game. That gives the SP offense more chances. Throughout the past 10 years that isn't the recipe to beat us.

I hope we can run on them.If we try to live by the pass it may not work out so good.We will have to be able to run the majority of the time. They will want us to throw!!

You're exactly right for the reasons I mentioned in my last post. The SP offense won't be stopped by any team in 1A. When we have years like this one other teams can only hope to contain it. The best way to do that is run the ball and control the clock on us.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
