Let's recap this discussion the past week:

Farragut is a second half team. Has been all through the playoffs.✅

Farragut is well coached and makes great halftime adjustments.✅

#1 Cooper Hardin is a great high school football player on both sides of the ball.✅

Farragut will come to play and Indy will have a game on their hands.✅

Indy is not the dominate team they were last year and "weak" East is competitive after all.✅

Yep.

Congrats to the Farragut Admirals on the 5A State Championship, well played. You guys brought your A game to the playoffs and made the plays you needed to get it done.

Congrats to Indy on a great season and a great 29 game run, something to be proud of and not many teams can claim that.

Congratulations to these Farragut kids! They have shown unbelievable heart since day one! Only 15 seniors to begin the season, then lose senior and leader Davis Simmons, but they continued to improve week after week.

Offensively, I think this team really turned the corner when Cooper became the feature back about mid-season.

They were banged up all through the playoffs - Butler and Hardin playing with broken hands and Burkey and Collins battling ankle/foot injuries - but they didn't make excuses or let that stop them from playing until the final whistle.

To pitch a second half shutout and score 38 unanswered points to win the Championship... these kids just would not be denied.

Congratulations 2016 State Champion Farragut Admirals!
