BlackHaven, North Memphis and Binghampton will be plenty deep Saturday. This crap about the lack of fans is just another way to not talk about football since ALL 3 of the Memphis teams are the favorites in the real games. It ain't just basketball anymore fellas... Memphis about to run the state in that sport with the oblong shaped ball too! I know you hate it Middle and Eastern Tennesseans. Get used to it. And the thing about Memphis, there's real competition. You can definitely get used to seeing us and Trezevant all the time but don't be surprised when Ridgeway, Central, White Station, Raleigh-Egypt or someone else that you've seen play good basketball make it up on that football stage. I can't forget our small private schools, Lausanne and St. George and of course the big ones, MUS and CBHS. Memphis, they say it takes one to make one million. Let's get this Gold Standard started with Lausanne Thursday and book end it Saturday with a clean sweep with "not a lot of fans in the stands." Lmao

run the state? Hahaha. There's a possibility that none of the Memphis schools even win bc east isn't beating central, Marion most likely will beat Trez bc of Richardson being injured, Oakland isn't losing for sure and Lausanne hasn't played anyone that good all year like the teams Webb has played. Everyone in Memphis has this huge chip on their shoulder bc their from Memphis and it's the dumbest thing ever

There ain't no chip on anyone's shoulders... We are the favorite in every game Saturday for sure and I am sure Lausanne will pull out the victory Thursday. It's going to be a great week for some Memphis Kids. I'm so giddy lol

I wouldn't call it a chip, I call it believing in our teams and not listening to the naysayers at home praying for us to lose.

Also, here is how Oakland acted when they knocked off Maryville: https://twitter.com/cbrentv3/status/802390498887565312

Notice the consoling, sportsmanship, etc.

https://youtu.be/Ywt-6glidm4?t=10429 This is how Whitehaven reacted in 2012.  Notice the fans storming the field and yelling at Maryville players, fans, and coaches.  It happened the whole game (I was there, this video doesn't show all...).  It's not just "We're from Memphis!" or some other reason that people root against you.  It's the reputation your team and fans have.

That video was awesome. This is what spots are all about but Memphis crowds are usually smaller than the middle and east tn teams.

    • West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.
    • I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.
    • I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!
    • Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
    • Looks like Trent Noah was released from his NLI at South Carolina with intent to pursue playing closer to home. Kentucky and Louisville both reported to be in the mix for him now.
