Howard roster

I'm the play by play announcer on 99.5FM WYGO in McMinn County. Multiple attempts to obtain a Howard roster have failed. I've gotten no response from the school AD, and Chattanooga sportswriters don't have one on file. Do any of you have an accurate roster?

I call games for TCA out of Jackson.  I am having the same trouble trying to find a roster for Mitchell for a game tonight.  Principal, AD, and coach have not returned calls over the course of two days.  Heck, wonder if we will have broadcast space when we arrive.  I simply don't understand why schools don't have web sites with accurate numerical rosters available on them, especially if they won't return calls.

It's not accurate.  They have new transfers that apparently became eligible just in time for post season play.  Good luck in your search.

I think it is great you both are being proactive & trying to get a roster in advance of the game & making so many phone calls, etc,; but won't there will be a scorebook filled out in plenty of time before the game?

Do you need a roster this much earlier than game time?

Unfortunately scorebooks are sometimes not filled in a timely manner.  Broadcast media needs advance copies of rosters to do prep work before a broadcast.  It is not just showing up and talking into a mike as some people think.  To do a proper and informative broadcast, you must prepare ahead of time.  A school giving a broadcaster a roster just before game time is bush league.  One time I had a school hand writing out a football roster just before game time.  Had tried for 4 days to get a roster with zero response.  Some schools just don't care.  Then they complain when we don't talk enough about them.  SMH

Game was Saturday.  I was taken care of.
