Goodpasture @ DCA

Curious what others think about this game?  Goodpasture lost 14 seniors from last year. This 2017 team has a large junior class of 25 players that have played a bunch over the last 2 seasons.  I believe there are 9 starters returning on offense and 5 or 6 returning on D.  

DCA looks like they have a good QB with a few good WR as well.

I think Goodpasture will still be to much, even after loosing a lot.  DCA is always well coached, but just not enough to hang.

Goodpasture has plenty of very good athletes to match up with DCA. Will be interesting to see who can block DCAs Blake Johnson though. He's just a very rare combination of size and speed at 250 lbs. Losing a kid with 3,000 APY is impossible to replace with one player but there are players by committee that will do well and one on those players is in the top five fastest players in the history of the school.

If both offenses are  clicking it could be high scoring.

looked for the History and individual player stats and records, to include timin/speed stats at DCA.......it would b kinda cool to see all those records and the names of all those studs.......especially the top 3 cause they been some football fast kids out there

can U post the top five or ten 40ys/100yd record holders on that list at DCA Players list.....or everyone on that record list if there r no URL to it

That's nine just off the top of my head. Three Mr Football backs, guys with records, and folks recognized as being speedy per the coaches/players/former players/former coaches, etc.... All of them ran very good times.

Booger was thinkin there was an real speed chart and record book, when player said the current guy was a top five speed guy.....so it was just an opinion thru sumone's expert eyetest and not officially clocked and compared to past recorded charts..........and the young man could really b like outside the top 5 or 10 of DCA speed guys; if any of them could b officially compared

The guy is an AAU track guy and has times that are better than almost all those guys. He's still young though but as a freshman he had a nice TD against Webb last year. I have heard most of the times throughout the years. Scooter was a freak athlete with a strength component unheard of at that time (he won multiple weight lifting competitions in Nashville at the time). Both Jeremys were extremely fast and athletic. Jeffs dad was a track star at Memphis and played on the first Green Bay Packers Super Bowl team. 

The two current guys are very fast and could have huge years. Good kids too!

Should be a great game between two big time rivals, DCA has 12-13 seniors and is primed for a great season.  Goodpasture dominated this game for years and is now on their way back from some tough seasons like they hadn't seen in a while, especially while Coach Martin was there.

I think it's generally agreed that Jeremy Worden is the fastest to have ever played at DCA, certainly not as big as backs as Lyons or Edwards but faster.

Wow did not expect that.  Yea not much of a game from the Cougars.  No excuses and too bad DCA did not get a chance to see the real Goodpasture team tonight.  I did want to point out that during the second offensive series,  a weird stomach bug hits #13 the starting QB who during a pre-snap cadence starting throwing up on the field and had to walk off the field puking. So 3rd string Freshmen QB comes in throws a INT results in a 90+ yard pick 6 TD.  That pretty much sums up this game for Goodpasture tonight who had 4 turnovers.  

Goodpasture will host Briarcrest  next week.
