The Jackson Sun

In the Class 2A poll, seven teams received a first-place vote, and two of them are from West Tennessee.

Adamsville (0-1) is ranked No. 3 in the Class 2A poll behind Marion County and Trousdale County despite opening the season with a loss to Bolivar. The Cardinals received one first-place vote.

Union City (0-1) is in a tie for fourth place with Columbia Academy, and the Golden Tornadoes received a first-place vote.

Trenton Peabody (1-0) opened the 2A poll at No. 10 with McKenzie (0-1) and Trinity Christian Academy (1-0) listed under others receiving votes.

I've seen 3 different polls. One had Trez #10 and one had AE #10. Both are 3A.

The top 4 teams in the poll are the only teams with a chance of winning the gold ball. The 2A State Champion will come from this group.

There is only 1 team in the east that has a shot at beating Marion County. I don't think either one of them can win the gold ball. It's going west this season again, but Trousdale or Marion will represent the east.
