In the Class 2A poll, seven teams received a first-place vote, and two of them are from West Tennessee.

Adamsville (0-1) is ranked No. 3 in the Class 2A poll behind Marion County and Trousdale County despite opening the season with a loss to Bolivar. The Cardinals received one first-place vote.

Union City (0-1) is in a tie for fourth place with Columbia Academy, and the Golden Tornadoes received a first-place vote.

Trezevant got a first place vote and are no longer in 2A.   They received 21 points.  10 of those points came from the first place vote. Which means the other 11 points came from at least 2 other voters.  

 

     All Associated Press members in Tennessee are eligible to participate in the high school football poll. Those who voted for this week's poll are: Chattanooga Free Press, Chattanooga; Cleveland Daily Banner, Cleveland; The Tennessean (Nashville), Murfreesboro; State Gazette, Dyersburg; The Jackson Sun, Jackson; Johnson City Press, Johnson City; The Daily Times, Maryville; The Tomahawk (Mountain City), Mountain City; Union City Daily Messenger, Union City; WCMT, Martin.

We can only worry about the next game and see where we stand at the end of the season. We have a pretty rough schedule and if we come out of the regular season healthy we may cause some teams trouble in the playoffs. Just gotta get some young kids a little experience.

Honestly,  yall are #1 at this point because of playing for the title each of the last 3 years.  Which is fair in my opinion.
