I can't believe these AC folks are calling out Greeneville like this. The Mavs haven't played a team with a pulse. They have played some really poor competition. Hixson and Howard will each can only win one more game and thats against each other. William Blount will likely go 0-10 this season as well. However, Greeneville on the other hand, has played and beat two of the better 6A in East TN. Science Hill will likely be a quarterfinal team. You people can't be serious. To get on here and act like you have proven yourself is absolutely absurd. Greeneville will beat you all by 35+ and that's being generous. You may have the easiest schedule in the state of TN. Play some people worth merit out of conference during the regular season, and win. If you do that, then you can demand some level of respect. Until then, shut up and enjoy your cake walk because come time to play Greeneville you'll be wishing you played better competition.

Don't bunch all of us fans in that category, I think some of our fans are delusional, Greeneville is in my opinion the best 4A team in the state right now.  AC is good, not great like some of our fans seem to put on.  I think Greeneville is a few TD's better than AC right now, mostly because of the schedule.  I don't even know why anyone is even discussing this matchup seeing how they may not even meet up.  AC has a lot of football left to play and hopefully they finish strong and continue to grow.  When the Playoffs begin you never know what may happen, but I hope would hope most people on here realize that you have 1 or 2 Mav fans calling out teams and acting like we are state champs, most fans at AC are pretty Football savy and hence you will see how they comment.  I love my mavs, and hope they continue, but also realize that stepping over doormats does not equal blowing the door open.  Good luck to all tonight and I hope everyone stays safe in their travels and the players stay injury free, no matter where you head.

GO MAVS!!!

Great response to my post. I probably went a little bit off the rails lumping all AC faithful into one category. Best of luck to the Mavs.

You sure did. I know the Mavs can match up to Greeneville. I am optimistic not a pessimist. The Mavs showed Friday night, again they can match up and Mavs have earned respect since then. So I look forward to the Opportunity of the Mavs playing Greeneville!

Are you putting Heritage into the same category as Greeneville? I don't think you fully understand how good Greeneville is. I think the Mavs can score on anybody, but I don't think they have a prayer of stopping Greeneville.

Well it will be a shoot out to say the least however when and if that time comes I trust our staff will be ready to step up to the challenge!

No I did not indicate that if so we would be in trouble. I think the real statement is do not think we are A Sullivan team or you will be in trouble.

Our schedule speaks for itself. Anyone with half a brain knows that. Fact of the matter is if you had our schedule you’d be 1-4. Simple as that.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
