The Warriors of Pikeville will travel to the Creekbank in Hartsville to face the Yellow Jackets on Friday.

The Warriors (4-6, 1-3 Region 3AA 4th Place) are scoring 10.9 pts per game while giving up 20.3 pts per game. They have tossed 3 shutouts. They have been shutout once. Their opponents record is 47-53 thus far this season and they have played 7 playoff bound teams. Their schedule consisted of 2 1A teams, 5 2A teams and 3 3A teams.

The Yellow Jackets (7-3, 5-0 Region 4AA 1st Place) are scoring 31.1 pts per game while giving up 13.9 pts per game. They have tossed 2 shutouts. They have yet to be shutout themselves. Their opponents record is 59-41 thus far this season and they have played 8 playoff bound teams. Their schedule consisted of 2 1A teams, 5 2A teams, 1 4A team, 1 6A team and 1 DII-A team.

All signs point to a Jacket Victory on Friday but stranger things have happened.

TC is gonna be a force to be reckon with when #5 comes back.  I went to Lebanon game and my  o my is he a ball player.  I still say missing pretty much all his freshman year he will be destroying some records at TC.  He will be brought up in conversation with the Michael Scruggs and TT Harper conversations.  Kid is awesome.  But i think we can still make a run this year.  For the coaches sake i hope we do.

Next year and year following this team will be loaded. Gotta have another good off season program and I think this coaching staff will get them where they need to be. I think once the playoffs start anything can happen. You just never know in the month of November. Crazy things happen and you just hope ball bounces your way. With a little lucid from the football gods this team can win the East.

Gotta play to their potential. We can't want it for them.

...Can't believe I just said that.

You are correct. Trousdale has a shot to make it to Cookeville this year in 2017 and collect a silver ball. The next 3 years of this current classification cycle you boys have a chance at the gold each season. I look for Trousdale in the semifinals for sure in 2018 and 2019 facing Meigs County each time for the chance to go to Cookeville.

    • And yes, in 2010 Clary/Scott Monger got into it with a R’dale fan. Well, mostly Monger lol. I think the fan took a swing at him. It’s funny as all get out listening to it on the replay. Scott told the guy to sit his a** down. Lol. That wasn’t the only time SM got into it with an opposing team. Seems like he got into it with someone at William Blount one year. He was an OG lol
    • Nope, they knew lol. He was just one tough hombre. Played right up to near the end of the Powell game like that and we almost won. I think they beat us, 21-17. Was a valiant effort on his part though.
    • No, that was in 2010. We played them in the quarterfinals in ‘11 the year I’m talking about, but we got hammered 35-14. 2010 was a fun year though. Played Maryville in the semis and gave them a really tough game for the majority of that game, but their depth eventually wore OR down, 38-21. Bradley had a few awesome runs in that game. He was a stud. Nothing fancy, but like I said, a mini Tebow. Would keep that read option up the middle and pound that tater in there. He was hard to bring down. Probably went for 195 lbs, if that.
    • Gibson County will be good next year as well. The five girls that didn't start last year are all solid and we have Micah Hart's sister coming up this year. We  will be very competitive especially late in the year. May lose some this summer getting girls reps and trying to figure things out but we are going to be good.
    • Dyersburg will be really good for a while. Their JV is loaded as well. South Gibson ought to be much better with four really good players coming up from an undefeated  Jr. High Team. Also will have 3 players back from knee injuries last year. They will be a handful especially late. Dyersburg District right there with the Upperman District with quality teams.
