That was the worst crew, ever. Both ways. They were just bad all around.

On another note I kind of figured you're running back was going to have problems against speed. I thought he was going to be bigger than what you guys explained. He's the same size as our freshman running back. I like 21 that kid got some wheels.

PC gifted a TD by sideline official and now lead 20-10 at half.

The official on Fairview's sideline should be reprimanded for his actions tonight.  That unsportsmanlike call on Coach Hughes was clearly made by someone with an alterior motive.  You just don't make that call in that situation.  Especially after as a crew you've botched the game clock and timeout situation.  Fairview responded well and came out in the second half and made it a 20-17 game in the 3rd quarter.  PC pulled away late and was just too much in the end.  They were the better football team without question.

The person on Fairview's sideline was not qualified to officiate a game of this magnitude.  No doubt.

When there was 0:09 left in the half Pearl-Cohn called a timeout.  That's when the officials added time back to the game clock.  Then after the next play Pearl-Cohn called another timeout (which was their 4th according to everyone else).

What happened was when the official added the time back to the clock he also preserved Pearl's timeout that was called previously.  This is where the confusion came from.

When Coach Hughes asked about that issue he was flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct foul.  That's when it got out of control and continued into the second half.

I think our opinion of you guy’s Mr Football candidate was about the same, tonight. Your QB was “The Man” tonight. Dude was a baller. Killed us on the read option. That’s a dang good football team. Speed and size everywhere, and no doubt the most sound tackling team I’ve seen. They are also coached very well. You can tell.

You should have seen our game with Maplewood. That whole crew was not qualified to officiate.

    • Pickett is good, may have a Mr. Football like season if he’s used correctly. One of the best teams Marion has fielded in a while. I think they go 12-1 and loose to ER.  ER has better players at almost every position. If they play discipline this year, they win soundly. If they don’t though…Marion could sneak away with it.
    • I’m betting the house on the Indians. Pickett and Co will be the only team to challenge the Indians in the East. Huntingdon can in the West. I think Brooks goes 15-0 and has the first perfect season and state championship in ER history.
    • Sounds like a great opportunity has opened up for the football team.  With the head coach of the diamond rebels making it official and quitting this week, there should be some room for the gridiron guys to benefit. I assume the administration won’t continue paying six figures to two former coach that quit to continue teaching drivers Ed. Thats pretty good money that could be redirected toward the football program. Also, with the more recent policies of pushing kids to only play one sport, abolishing the baseball program altogether would help on Friday nights in the fall. There is some decent speed on that baseball team that should’ve been playing on Fridays IMO. I’m not sure if anybody would really miss that baseball program anyway with it being across town from the school. The liability of letting players actually use the facilities could also be mitigated with closing the program. That liability seems to be a really big issue for 825. Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity is available.
