I am from the Cumberland area and I have watched Upperman for several years now, I do not believe the referees handled the end of regular regulation like they should have. Foul or no foul. But we can not take away from either of the two teams for how great of a game it was!

Totally agree. Complete loss of control! But what a game. Carter and Levy were so fun to watch in the crunch minutes.

I would like a honest answer from a fan down there that has sense. This was a complete loss of control by the officials. The kid didn't get fouled, but dang.

Honest answer? It was a bad call that should have cost Upperman a championship. All of the work you put in just to get it taken away from an official would make any coach with passion go nuts.

It was an awesome performance by Levy.  Upperman will definitely be back to the glass house.

Not in the real world.  Without Akira today Upperman loses  that game by 20+.  Next year (and possibly the year after that) region semis will be a good years for UHS.

It was a bad call, Levy blocked it  clean.... But the Upperman faithful fail to acknowledge Macon was on the receiving end of multiple bad calls that affected that game in regulation.  But, somehow Larry wasn't at half court putting his hands on officials.

Both teams were on the receiving end of bad calls during regulation but at the end of the game when you call a clean block a foul you should get your butt chewed by a coach.

Dana McWilliams and Upperman should be ashamed at how they acted at the end of regulation.  What a joke!

The whole Macon fan section booed Dana as she received her plaque.  The Macon County student section repeatedly shouted “Levy You suck”.  Now those are classy people right there.  I am so proud of Upperman and Coach Mcwilliams!

I have been to many state tournaments as a player and a fan but never have I seen such a trashy fan base.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
