If I'm up to date on the rules, moving across the street or next door is not acceptable. I think there is a distance stipulation on a transfer as well.

If you move IN THE SAME county to go to another county school then the bus from the new school must pass in front of your "new residence".We lived in Loudon County and my son went to Lenoir city but we wanted to send our son to Greeenback.I called the TSSAA to ask because everyone had their own thoughts and i didnt want it to cause any losses for the new team and that was what the lady told me,BUT there had to be a bona fide change of address regardless. We moved less than 10 miles IN THE SAME COUNTY.Its all really irrelevant if you have an athletic record and transfer without sitting a full year from the last game or practice YOU HAVE TO MOVE AS A FAMILY unless of course there is a family issue.Private schools had the mileage  criteria 25  miles if im not mistaken but they are D2 now so they have different criteria.

If I’m reading the original post correct, the young man said he played for a school in another county and wants to transfer to a school IN the county he lives in. Unless I’m misinterpreting his statement. He needs to call and ask.
