North greene travels to Greenback Monday night for a Regional matchup. Zane Potter will be on the hill for the huskies. Any thoughts on how this game will go?

I would expect a Greenback win, they have played a very tough schedule and should be ready for post season.

Greenback is definitely the favorite but with Potter on the mound in a one game series that gives North Greene a chance.  If he can contain the Greenback Lineup like he has other teams this year and the huskies play mistake free baseball they can pull off an upset.  Should be a good game!

North Greene’s schedule hasn’t been too tough and they start 4 freshmen, 2 sophomores and a junior. They’re a couple years away from being really good. Ng pitching staff isn’t very deep so if Potter gets in trouble it will be a long night. Should be a good game from two good teams.

I heard he is very talented!

Looks like greenbacks bats came alive finally. That was a good win over a really good pitcher from what I understand.

I figured it would be a good game with Potter on the mound. (He pitched them to state last year with a 3-1 win over your best friends at Grace lol).  Good Luck to the Cherokees at State!

Yes really good game by two class programs. NG people aren’t too fond of University people so they’ll be pulling for the Cherokees 100%. They’re good but very beatable. That long bus ride to from the city to God’s Country may have an effect as well. Good luck to Greenback the rest of the way.

    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
