there is one coach that remains and is a liar and also a thief.  talk about promises and breaking them. He thinks he knows all,  but players constantly laughing at his ignorance and his pompous self.  there a several players talking of leaving still in season, more at end of school. Players have lost all respect of these coaches.  Supposedly the coaches met last year after games to plan emmons removal.  One coach who is the biggest problem is in on the coaching choice/hire.  3 head coaching changes, and the big problem remains.    show us where martin did anything at NCS.

Are these coaches lackadaisical and dense? Why hasn’t bubba gotten the ball? He has had back to back 1000 yard seasons in a bigger district. Not to mention every coach on spring hills staff witnessed him tearing their defense apart. Poor seniors . Not only a horrible season but 3 coaches in their 4 years. Sad thing is they go through new coaches but problem still remains !!!

It is so sad when programs and administrations let this type thing go on. (if true). Also, hate when QB Clubs have too much influence!

When you are in a district that gives all the budget to one school, the QB club keeps the program running. If the QB club had any pull, Emmons would have never left Centennial.

johnson is the best back over there, was leading rusher in 2020 class.  #23 may be faster, but not the wear them down attack back like johnson.  as far a page line, last year was not very strong.  johnson's yac is unreal, watch is film. he carries players for yards and breaks tackles time after time. proven record, even against sh as one mentions above.  the fastest back spring hill had, smiths younger brother, transfer centennial couple weeks ago.  scoring touchdowns. not at sh he wasn't. johnson is leading district in tackles, so from leading rusher to leading in tackles, speaks for itself. he's a beast. coaching is the problem.

You must have watched different games than I did.  I saw him 3 times last year versus Summit, LC and Fairview and he wasn't getting touches until the secondary.  He is a good fullback.  Everyone knows what the real problem with him is and that was escorted out a couple weeks ago.  Regardless this is about SH, how they treated a good man and the coaching not 1 player.  I do agree that CC gets preferential treatment but I do not understand the point about the QB club, Emmons and Centennial.

they say the guy escorted out was telling OC that his play calling sucked. to the coach that seems to outlast them all and is the problem.  don't think that applies to that kid specifically, but the team. johnson is linebacker. he tore us up last year, hurt several players while running the ball.  SHHS need to clean house. parents i know loved emmons, go figure

I’ll tell you what the biggest problem is in the TSSAA. Players that shop for programs/coaches they like <ahem...MC...ahem> You live in a district, you go to that school, period, but that is another topic for another day.

How close are you to this program, Lion? It’s easy to criticize from the outside. The Raiders do not enjoy the community support most other teams enjoy. Spring Hill is divided between two counties, Spring Hill high school is in Columbia...Columbia doesn’t support them, Spring Hill supports Summit. The alumni of SHHS don’t support the school, the administration don’t support any of them. The problem with the Raiders is a lack of identity, a link to their past. Will Martin bring that? Too early to say, but he still has his state champion ring, he LOVES this school and Team. Will he make some staff changes? Perhaps. Some ARE needed, but what is needed even more is to get everyone pulling in the same direction. Emmons wasn’t that guy...Turchetta wasn’t that guy.

    • While I appreciate being credited with multiple accounts, I have to say that is not true. Will you please report back to your people that I am not someone who provides sharp, witty banter, but rather someone who is putting the shoe on the other foot for some people that have been repeatedly bashing others here and in real life for the past few years? Everything that I have stated has been backed by factual evidence or public record, so no need to be sharp and witty.
    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
