Coach of the Year has to be David Pack of CPA. Written off by many 'experts' after an 0-3 start, losing their star running back in the opening game, CPA overcame an incredible amount of adversity through brilliant coaching and gritty team play.

Larry Kerr of Anderson County deserves Coach of the Year. Clean program, well respected by his coaching peers. IMHO he should also be awarded the top high school football coach award for the entire U.S.

1-a Mike Lunsford, Cloudland or CPA's coach

2-a J.C Campbell, Hampton

 

1-a is a toss up and 2-a should go to retiring J.C. Campbell who led his team to a 2 loss season. The only losses were to county rival Cloudland

3a- ???

4a- Overton's Coach, This team has come a long way in 2 yrs

5a- Joslin Cookeville, Team that started poorly and with fewer athletes than most teams they played, really turned the team into a good one.

I beleive he finished 2nd in total rushing yards....

 

What about the games tonight? Who do you like? McKenzie @ Mitchell mainly what I'm concerned with.

He probably won't be where he is during the next three years. Got into a little trouble with his language, creatine, and gametime antics. He lost more games than the players did this season and should have listened to his assistant coaches.

 

Parents and players don't want him back, we're hoping for Fuller

I agree wit cathead98 AC is a top team in 3-a football. they beat AE and almost beat fulton in 2 ot's. they held fulton to 35 yds passing they didnt score til the 2nd half.Kerr knows the game of football. They have a great defense wich has played good all year. Coach lambert is a defense powerhouse!!!!coach lambert

That is a tuff question there.I would hate to have to pick one as there are many good coaches out there that should be coach of the year but only one can.I can't wait to see.

1A- Robert Akins, Boyd-Buchanan

 

2A- Rex Phelps, Sweetwater

 

3A- Buck Coatney, Fulton

 

4A- Curt Jones, Chattanooga Central Took a team that was 0-10 in 2001 and went 5-6, made playoffs and played Knox Central off their feet in the first round of the playoffs.

 

5A- Cumberland County's coach Took a perrenial doormat to an 8-2 record and a home playoff game for the first time since the 80's.

 

DII- Don't know enough to make a call here.
