How did they do against Shelbyville that year? I don't recall. White County lost to Shelbyville in the State Championship in 1991 and 1992.

2004 Jackson County coming off 4 strait state championships.  Started the year by beating the #1 team in the nation Shelbyville.  Lost in the sub state to a very good McMinn Central team ending the historic chance for 5 in a row.

2017-2018 Gibson County Lady Pioneers were a very good team. Lost to state champion Greenfield by four and had a chance to tie with 25 seconds left and actually led by 13 in first half in Region Semis. Greenfield actually lost the District Championship and it put us in the same bracket. We lost our biggest post 2 weeks before tournaments. Greenfield was really good and are still really good but thought we were very worthy of a Boro trip.
