King I'm sure there are peaks and valleys from year to year . But as I sit here watching Greenfield play I can only think of 1 thing. If this is what it looks to win down here then the mountain is pretty much unclimbable.

I tried to tell people on the other thread but they had to find out for themselves.  I don't know of any team up here that can improve enough to overcome the talent of the west.

West will still be good next year but it will take a hit of losing great players. It will start evening out next year and be more of a level playing field in West.

why is it harder to win a state championship in high school than in middle school dont we play the same people

Not all middle schools play in the TMSAA, if that’s what you’re talking about, and you have to take into account that a lot of kids develop in high school, and you get transfers, and in my opinion classification has a lot to do with it, for example there’s a good chance Meigs will be back in 1A, and they have played 2A and 3A in middle school, and with a really good group of 8th graders coming in that plays a lot of travel ball, that puts them in the mix, and South Greene could be back in 1A as well. I guess what I’m trying to say is a lot can change from middle school to high school.

I do think it is all cyclical to some extent. West has really really upgraded its kids leagues and plays a ton all the time. Do think it evens back up. South Green was dominant a few years ago.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
