How about EN making it to the glass house a few times in the last ten years. WC made it a couple years ago as well. And if you are going back thirty years add in Antioch and Overton I know for sure. There may be others that have made it to the glass house as well. I wouldn't say metro has sucked when they have been just as good as anywhere in middle tennessee. And Summitt obviously thought enough of metros Fey to hire him.

Nashville has never been as good as West TN or East TN in basketball in my lifetime. (39) 

Comparing anything to UCLA of the Wooden days is ridiculous. Everyone knows that basketball in Middle TN doesn't have much talent in AAA. They can't compete with Memphis when it comes to talent. 

To be honest, if Memphis schools hired good coaches and could get the kids to actually be coached West TN would win AAA, AA, and A every year. 

Pete Froedden knows how to build a program. However, he and other coaches like him don't always have the backing of the administration. I'll bet in 3 years Hillwood will be winning 18-20 games a year and competing for the district.

Memphis hires terrible coaches...or has in the last 20 years. Faragi Phillips is the cream of the crop down there.

2015 Brentwood High School beat Memphis East and was 2 points from beating Hamilton in the finals.

Dion Real at Bartlett is good.

Charlie Leonard at Houston is good. 

Marvis Davis at Lausanne is good.

Jesus Pitino at Whitestation is good. 

Faragi Phillips was a very good coach.

Kevin Starks was a good coach.

I'm not sure there has ever been a time when Paul Edwards wasn't overflowing with talent. This coming year could test, depending on who transfers, how good he actually is. 

Keelon Lawson has won with talent. However, a former player (from the undefeated 2007 team, played D1 and pro) said he wasn't very good as a coach.

I'm open to any other opinions
