They are obviously the front runner in the east until someone can beat them. Semifinals should be a lock again. We have all seen this movie before and know how it will end. They lost 7-8 starters each way but they will reload from their current roster as well as some new kids and will be good again. I am thoroughly convinced it will be that way about every season.

LRDAO... Glad you is finally confessing.  You think im joking but im not.

Roy man- I was in Jasper about 20 years ago up there playing some softball and I went to a honkey tonk there named the hilltop. You know that place? I was up there looking for a couple of skillet slingers. Well I found a couple but when we was leaving this crippled feller that looked just like Jesus and he was playing pool and he said something to one of the skillet slingers and she picked up one of his crutches and whooped him with it real good. You know any of the skillet slingers or the crippled Jesus man? You ever been to that Hilltop place?

That’s a name from the past. I use to go there as a young man. It’s been gone for probably 20 years.

    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
    • I say over as well. Barney, regarding the move to 4A, will the cross-town blowhards move up as well??
