Is Obion Co that good or was South Gibson that bad?

I know it is tournament time! Obion is 13-10 and South Gibson 18-7. I know records mean nothing, but how did this happen last night? Was anybody there?

SG was up by a good amount, up by about 10 at half time. SG let off the pedal and Obion came back and was up by about 6 at the end of the third. Obion played “keep away” and didn’t even try to score for the rest of the game. SG got the ball very few times and Obion pretty much held it out until SG was forced to foul.

SG also lost its best shooter due to injury. 

 

Not any excuse but it is the truth. 

 

He broke his finger from what I hear. 

 

Does not matter in the grand scheme of things.... this district will continue to beat up on each other. 

 

SGC needs to beat WV to guarantee its regular season championship...  That is a tall order. WV is a good BBall club.

Oh no! Sorry to hear that! I hate when  kids get injured especially in high school. I wish him a speedy!

Not broken. Severally dislocated. Honestly, the pic I got looks AWFUL. Have no idea how its not broken. They have it set back in place. Have not heard a time table for when he will return. He is a starting shooting guard so its kinda important for us to get him back.

Thanks for your kind words. Hopefully we can get him back before our next game against WV. He is a good kid, great athlete, and someone you want to rut for if, you know him.

South Gibson wins on a 3 at the buzzer against Westview tonight. Was a back and forth game most of the night! Now come district tournaments...should be fun!!

I see that! Was both teams holding the ball? Or was it just an off night for both teams? I see it was 40-37  SG. District 13AA I am still going with dyersburg or Crockett Co
