Our public schools are a form of socialism. Do your students go to a private school? Misinformation about politics has no place on here.

Misinformation about politics? Where did you get that from?

Sounds like you are just looking for an argument. Yeah, I can tell our public schools are doing so well ( I am a teacher in case you are wondering- 24 years). That form of 'socialism" seems to be working so well. Tell you what, ask some teachers how to fix the problems and get back to me.

Nimrods don't deserve time on here so please quit the sh!t show.

No, you're not. That's why I said for no other reason...

BTW, I've noticed that SP has done pretty well this roundball season... footballers participating?

A lot of our guys were/are on the football team.   I guess we had a decent year but in no way did we resemble a team that could settle down and play a half court game.  If I had to choose one word to describe our style of play it would be chaotic.   Sandlot would be a good word as well.  Harsh but true.

You can’t ever tell who will be playing for Hardy from year to year. Sometimes week to week. It’s a very small public school in South Pittsburg, in its own school system. Last year they had 2 new players in from Canada at the start of the season, both about 6’7” and they played Howard to 95-93. Somehow they weren’t able to continue at Hardy and things dropped off badly. A couple of weeks after that Howard beat them something like 110-30.

As referenced above, there were a couple of transfers a couple a years ago that were legit by the book transfers.  Yes, the basketball team benefited.  They were very good two years ago and could have possibly went further but the sickness bug hit at the wrong time and with no depth that was it.  Last year there were foreign exchange students played a couple of games but, the school found something wrong with paperwork and had to not let them play anymore.   Yes, I am on here from time to time and yes I am involved with the baseball team at the school (my son plays).  On side note, the baseball team is going to be pretty good but, word must have got out.  We contacted all three other schools in Marion County and only Whitwell returned our call and was willing to play us.  The other two never returned our call.

I want to commend the young men from Hardy Memorial. They played hard all night. There was no quit in them even though they were outmanned at every position. I was definitely impressed!  Having said that Clay County was just too strong tonight. Speaking of strong, Grant Strong is now the best player in District 6A and should be a Mr Basketball finalist for next year.  He still has improving to do but the young man can flat out play.

Thank you for the compliment.  My son plays and I was proud of them.  My son and another boy are freshman and were starters.  They had a junior and a 8th grader that started most of the season.  One senior #30.  The one that can shoot the lights out.  #30 told the rest of the team at halftime after he got 15 points that he wanted the others to shoot so he passed the ball off a lot more.  He had been the main scorer all season he said he had his time and the game was out of reach.  I commend him for that.

That speaks volumes about that young mans character and he absolutely could shoot the ball I was very impressed.  Those young men are winners make no mistake about it, and I wish them all the best!
