Not bad at all...Region 3 would have to be a bit different maybe by adding Riverdale and Blackman and subtracting Cookeville. Then, obviously, whatever region Cookeville is in will be “Region 3”.

Why would region 3 need to change? The only really long drive is Cookeville to Shelbyville, but the others are about the same as anyone else has with Cookeville and this keeps most of the RuCo schools together.

Because we’re balancing the regions with less teams. A 9-team region would be unfair to say the least! Especially when there is a way to make all regions much more fair and balanced,

I didn’t have a 9-team region. I had one at 7, three at 6, and one at 5.

Oh...gotcha. For fairness sake, I would make that adjustment I mentioned. It's just way too loaded of a Rutherford County region without switching a few teams. That would be unfair and it's written in their bylaws to balance and make the regions as fair as possible. That was my point on that one...sorry, I got confused on which one we were discussing!

I understand that completely. That’s why I said it was more geographically than competition in the original response. That said, does competition trump tradition and rivalry or vice versa? Then it’s who do you pull out of that region? Glad it’s not my job. Lol

Competition, in this day and age, should trump tradition and rivalry in my humble opinion...especially since the tradition/rivalry games can be played in non-region contests. Just my take. I'm for fairness and balance.

I absolutley love it for DB. More competition and not gonna be a 1 seed. Playing Maryville in regular season would be great.

I 100% agree that, if there are 8 teams, Memphis should all be in one region. For Region 6/7, I personally like it, but I could see them throwing Dickson back in there with Wilco as well.

If Gallatin, Hendersonville and Beech get all the metro schools, then it’s just a travesty!!!  Especially with Clarksville having 3 schools on an island.  Dickson Co can get to Williamson faster now with 840 open.  If Sumner gets all metro schools then it’s a crock!!

I really believe it makes the most sense to send Sumner County to Montgomery County, Cookeville with Warren and Coffee, and Dickson to Wilco.
