Like I said, a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. Lol. SP is in a different world talent wise compared to the rest of Single A. Still not understanding how and what makes them this way, year in and out, but they’ve done something right all these years. Hated I never got to play them.

We’ve had some bad years as well. The early 80’s weren’t kind to SP. As well as 88-92, 2000-2002, 2004-2006, 2014-2015. Those were all some rough years if you look back through the archives. It happens to everyone at this level.

Huntland has fielded two different teams this season.

1 with Stewart playing at 80% or better health, and one without Stewart. In two of the Hornets losses they were missing 4 seniors that started on both sides of the ball. Moore County has a great team, but they would be wise not to underestimate the Hornets tonight. This will be a game that is within a score in the 4th qtr.

#4 Stewart is controling the game right now. We are playing their game. We get the ball at half. Should be another great finish. Two key injuries for mc is hurting.

That 2001 bunch made to the semis.  They didn't have a lot, but the came along during the season and played hard.

37 and 38 weren't good years either

They could be a contender for the silver but not the gold if as you say they don't take care of business handily tonight.

It's really hard to be a consistent contender year in and year out,, we only have 5500 people in our entire county where SP has a county of 28,000 people, it makes quite a difference..

Stewart boy is an absolute BEAST! But Huntland’s Coach should be ashamed of himself the kid went down early in the 3rd and was visibly shaken up the rest of the game and was doubled over after every play for 1qt and a half it was clearly visible to everyone in the stadium yet they still rode him all the way to 2 turnovers directly caused by it. I’m sure the kid wanted to play and the sport needs more kids like him but less Coaches like Robertson! Sometimes grownups need to be just that!!

I agree , Stewart appeared to be worn out or, still feeling the effect from the tackle where he lost his helmet and bang his head on the ground.

    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
