Union City @ Peabody (2nd Round)

After reflecting on this game over the weekend. Just a few observations.
1.  There was one thing that could not happen if we even remotely had a chance in the game and that was multiple turnovers.  Two happened that were back breakers in first quarter. UC got a good break on Tides first drive with a fumble recovery on second play and then gave it away on an interception when we had a decent drive going on. The fumble on the kick off really killed us.  Even though we kept playing hard it was going to be near impossible to dig out of that hole with playing a great team like Peabody. I do think it was a questionable missed touch back call but I was not directly on goal line and the ref was so it is what it is.

2.  Four of the best backs in 2a where on that field Friday night. #2 1400 yards on 151 carries and #24 1000+ yards for Uc.  #7 mr football finalist and #2
 3.  These 4 backs could not do what they do if it were not for 2 great offensive lines. The Tide are huge up front Mostly seniors and UC is just nasty up front with two seniors two juniors and a sophomore 
4.  Tide have an excellent defense all across the field. Great d line. Phenomenal LBs and they fly to the football with aggression. 
5. I watched the pass interference play a few times and thought it was a questionable call but hey I’m a homer

6. Both teams are very physical 

Two great programs with lots of history. Hopefully we play again next year even though we will be in different classes.

From what I’ve heard Union city and Peabody won’t be playing the next 2 years

I can assure you it was not UC. We love the UC Trenton rivalry. It’s almost like every year the winner was the state champs. Keep the rivalry going keep the Gold Balls rolling to West TN.

I'm glad to see Huntingdon and Milan.  Excited to see Lake County and Westview.  Glad to see Dburg also.  I like this schedule.  I still wish we were 2A.  But I understand the reasoning behind the switch
