Nolensville at Dekalb 2nd Rd

This game deserves a thread. We’ve played both teams and they are very similar. I’ll take Dekalb because of home field advantage!!

I am still new to the message boards but I'm thinking Nolensville because of their tough region play.  It should be a close one though.

Both these teams lucked out getting to play each other.  I know Nolensville beat Marshall but I think Tullahoma and Marshall are better than both these teams.  But hey that is why they play the regular season. With 500 more kids Nolensville should win

The scoreboard said that Nolensville was indeed better than Marshall when they played.

We're all entitled to our opinions.  Mine is that Nolensville is a better team than Marshall County this year.  MC only stayed in the game because of long runbacks on kicks giving them a short field.  Otherwise, Nolensville beats them by two touchdowns or more.  MC has athletes and can be a much better team but they weren't that night.

Very possible.  I belive both teams are very senior heavy aren't they?  Personally I am just glad we don't have to play MC any longer.

NHS has a big senior class but no superstars.  I'm aware of only a few with college offers.  They know their system well and play as a unit.  Different heroes every night.  I know nothing about Dekalb other than what was seen last year.  No doubt they'll come out fired up at home and NHS better be ready for it.  The blitzkrieg they faced at Tullahoma should help prepare them.

They have a really good QB who can flat out spin the ball and big offensive line.  IMO they are very similar to you guys in a lot of ways!

Three common opponents.  Both beat Spring Hill and Livingston Academy.  NHS beat Watertown, DeKalb lost to them.  Last year's game, at NHS mind you, was a blow out.  Hard to pick against NHS in this one.
