Elizabethton has great team been going to some of their games hope they win it all.  Sometimes discipline can beat more athletic teams.

I think that’s what he is trying to say without it being racist lol.  Pretty sure the past two opponents we faced in the state championship had more “demographics” than Betsy and that didn’t work so that argument is debunked.  It’s not about the color or someone’s skin,  it’s about who works harder and wants it more. As far as I’m concerned this guy needs to go back to the NC boards with his nonsense.

Only difference is there is no NC team that could beat Oakland and I don’t think Vance could beat Maryville and they have went back to back in 4a

One thing that’s aggravates me is when this is brought up most don’t recognize the difference in enrollment numbers. Elizabethton would be 2a maybe 3a in NC and their past few teams would of have had a chance to win it all in NC. Alcoa would be 2a in NC. Shelby and Reidsville couldn’t beat Alcoa. There is more depth of good teams in NC because of the population difference.

The other thing you don’t think about TN private schools take away a lot players. Most of the private schools in TN would beat the athletic NC teams. If you look at the past 247 sports recruiting rankings TN has had more kids rated over the past few years. NC had more last year.

The one thing I have been surprised about this year is how good Betsy secondary has been playing.That was something I thought we would struggle with but what do I know.

Really well coached bunch in the secondary it looks like. They're always flying around and playing fast!
