THIS IS THE THIRD POLL OF THE SEASON. 

 

Now in its 29th year, The Poll is primarily a measure of dual meet strength with some consideration to individual tournament strength.   Votes are cast by a state-wide panel of high school wrestling coaches and are based on a maximum Power Ranking of 144.

nahhhhh. not yet. not with the losses they have. It’s a good win, but they have losses to Heritage, Clarksville, and finished P4 at an individual tourney behind DB, Heritage, and Maryville. IMO should be Heritage jumping in. SH shouldn’t be jumping Heritage, Oakland, Clarksville, Centennial, or Beech IMO

I wasn’t saying they should jump everyone to be ranked, but at least receiving votes. This poll is for mainly duals and this win has to be taken into account. This was a good win. They can be behind MBA in nexts week poll, but at least in the poll itself.

I think dual losses before 1/1/21 don’t mean as much as dual wins after the same date for obvious reasons.  Not saying it’s relevant in the DB scenario, just something the panel should factor in. Covid and associated contact tracing is a wildcard that now throws some uncertainty in the mix.
