Who you kicking off to? LOL

Thanks for the reminder because I forgot to mention it...... our kicker may be the best player on the team, looking for big things out of him this year.

Wish I knew more about SG but we have not played them in so many years.    However last year's team made a deep playoff run so they are obviously doing something right.   Boone would be a fool to overlook SG just because they are a much smaller school.

I look for this to be a great game to start the season off for both teams.  5a Boone expected to have good solid defense against an expected good solid 2a SG offense.

Boones has some great line backers and some good corners returning. Boones offense may spit & spudder at times at, but they’ll play hard.

SG oline/defensive line should be solid. Linebackers and corners should be solid.  I hear their skill guys have some speed and some good hands.  We know their QB is baller and not afraid of contact and I would think he’ll play both sides of the ball. Overall win or lose this game SG should be a tough opponent.  If SG establish a decent running game it’ll open up some space for their receivers and should be a great challenge for Boones D.

I’m not sure who will come out on top? But if Boone lets SG hang around, SG may very well come out the victor.  One advantage I would give SG is that it’s at their place, on Rebel Hill.

Great in-depth analysis Romans! You said something that triggered a thought. Some speed. They had a first year track team and they demonstrated more than just some speed. I believe they may have more overall speed than Boone.

Boone's defense will be quite impressive this year.    Offense not so much so.     As long as the O doesn't repeatedly turn it over inside the opponent's red zone then perhaps the defense can carry the team to a few wins.     I think Boone can win this game but doubt there will be a  lot of points, something like 14-7 sounds about right.

Just listened to the SG coach interview on WXSM, after hearing that I'm calling this one a tossup

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
