Page vs. Fairview

Based on film Fairview will win. 

Page looked like Marshall County's daughter last friday.

I will be pulling for FV only because Pizzaface is a Page fan. I am afraid that I will be disappointed on Sat though

Page won 28-20. Was a pretty good game. Fairview didn't do themselves alot of favors with offensive penalties and defensive breakdowns. Page threw it all over us. Also our starting QB went out and didn't return. Not sure of his status but the backup didn't look bad. Jackets need work but will be fine. Might be 0-3 in a couple weeks though lol.

Got to watch this on tv.  Sloppy game.  Felt like Page had opportunities to blow this open.  Several bad calls that went against Page \.  First play was a catch for over 40 yards but refs missed it.  Questionable call on the int for TD that got called back.  Pages QB went out in first half otherwise may still been a blowout.  But as usual both Fairview and Page looked well coached and boy the kids play hard.

“The catch” definitely hit the ground under the receiver (right in front of me).  The refs actually let them play. They really only called the obvious stuff. Sloppy game for sure.

Just now seeing this as it was not in the 5A/6A threads. Well, we’re not over rated this year but we certainly are not (yet) where we should/need to be. Our run game needs to step up and our blocking schemes could be much better, especially pass protection from the backfield. 

I think we all saw an over confident team walk in to play our little brother and the first game nuances showed. Refs didn’t help us any but we squeaked out a W. 

Have to give lots and I mean lots of credit to Fairview! Those kids did not lay down, at all! They may not be as large of a school as us but they certainly are not like Lewis County and scared to play quality competition!

It is good to see a "non Fairview supporter/parent/fan" give credit about the kids not giving up.  Seriously, it is much appreciated you recognized that as I think this group walked out of their with their heads down the other night - but this staff will more than get them ready for their next big school in Creek Wood this week!

He was not complimenting your team. The game was close because Page was an "over confident team" playing against their "little brother".

I was referencing this part of his comment:

@ladyvol31 You just have to ignore him and the other Lewis County clan. They are after me for consistently keeping them in their place.

 

Do not take what I said lightly. Fairview has a very good team and will do well this year! I think this weeks rankings reflect this.

 

On a side/personal note, I did notice one of the DL for y'all was a head buster! That kid went after it every single play!

Thanks for your advice - I am fairly new poster, and really don't know where anyone is from!

If the DL you speak of is who I think it is, he was busting heads at 7!  LOL!
