 Congratulations to a great White County team on the championship. Mitchell had his team well prepared and they had great composure the whole game. Well deserved win. Stone did well but just couldn’t overtake them. 
Earlier games, Livingston hit there own last minute winning shot for the win over Cumberland. Overall impression for the season. More impressed with SMHS than expected. Cumberland is less impressive than expected. White County keeps getting better and at the right time. Livingston is a decent team but won’t make it through regions IMO.

Any opponent who knows Cumberland Co HS program and tradition doesn’t fear them come tourney time. 
Anyone who has followed them for decades should be well aware of that…

White county did well working and playing like a team. Cumberland may have the most talent but when you place 4th who cares. Gotta win or talent means nothing. It’s interesting to note how White county and Stone handled the pressure of the last minute of the ballgame, compared to what Cumberland and Livingston did in their games. That tells you who the better TEAM is.

Not sure what this is supposed to mean. LA hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer to tie Upperman in first round then beat them in overtime. Yesterday they hit a last second shot to beat Cumberland.

White county has figured out how to handle high pressure situations. Stone has as well. Stone was up and slowed down their offense and looked for good shots only with 2 minutes to go. It the free throws weren’t missed they would have won. White county capitalized on that miss with a great drive in and won. Compare that to Cumberland who were up by maybe 10 start of 4th quarter. Did not play with composure to hold the lead. Then one minute left and up by 2 a player shot a 3 pointer and missed when the ball should have been held. Game changer. So the last second shot happened for a reason. Poor decisions. That is why I say White and Stone are the better teams. No one cares about individual players.  Takes a team to win. White county will go to substate. Stone may too but will next year for sure.

Agreed, but LA was obviously able to handle the pressure down the stretch as a team. Your previous post seemed to indicate otherwise, I may have misinterpreted. Everyone expected White and Stone in the final. I'm guessing very few picked LA to pull out #3 spot. In the end, I'll be surprised if anyone punches to state. Hope I'm wrong.

Sorry for poor wording. Livingston did handle the pressure well and came up with the win. Great district finish from them. Good luck to all these teams in the regions.

From what I hear Cumberland loses everyone next year.  All of White and Stones best players return next year. It will be a battle between White/ Stone next year as well.

I'm here to eat crow. Nothing wrong this post either. Is it too early to talk about next year?

Great game between Stone and WC. The last play called from WC with 5.1 secs left was good. WC having to call a timeout, I believe, helped them win this game. It gave them time to refocus and make a play. I was impressed with both Stone and WC play calling, especially after timeouts.
