I went to the game and the Hawks are undersized up front and bigger teams leaning on them wear them down later in games. They had a real chance to win this one against Knox Central, tying it up late at 14-14, but they gave up a big play to get Central in position for the game winning field goal. The Bobcats were much bigger up front and that big running back Johnson did a lot of damage running the ball and even connected with a Tim Tebow jump pass for a touchdown. As for the Hawks I do understand that their freshman and JV teams show some promise and that help is on the way for future seasons, They now go into a tough part of the schedule with Farragut and Maryville back to back.
