Another winless season

They now have a 44 game losing streak on their hands as of now. Not 100% what the record is but from my days I remember North Greene had a 62 game streak until Red Boling Springs passed that up with a 67 game streak that covered 1986 through 1992. If I were that coach there I would schedule the Girl's Club to keep from approaching that record. Madisonville and Vonore were so horrible back in the day in single A and then they go and put them together and this is what you get.

Madisonville never made the playoffs. They had a few teams that would have made the playoffs under the current criteria that won Bowl Games.Vonore same thing except to add they made the playoffs 1 year.Sequoyah had that magical run to the quarterfinals years ago.Had a few other decent teams too.Don’t know what to say. They have a great band, cheerleaders, volleyball team & majorettes. The kids are trying their best.I’m happy not on tv like their been for drugs at the school.People in Vonore are upset & want a high school of their own again & have for some time.

Tough situation for anyone to walk in to.  They had to overcome adversity that was laid by the last group of coaches.  The one thing that has been seen on their social media is that they have revamped facilities, new locker room, new weight room, and all new staff.  It will take a couple years... usually getting the seniors out will help.  They will start getting their system with kids that only have the habits the staff want.  The answer to building a new school is not smart!  They would both be small schools with the same kids.  The numbers have already dropped quite a bit, and doesnt seem that they are getting an influx of people move in.  With all that being said....Yes 0-10 is on the new staff.....the other losses are on the other guys.  I would be willing to say that they win multiple games next season. Potentially 4 and could sneak in as a 4 seed with new region alignments

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
