Maybe I’m wrong about the outcome of the game, but me and 200+ D1 coaches aren’t wrong about the RB being the best in the state and top 3 in the country. That’s just laughable.

My bold statement for the day. Ive said it before but gonna say it louder for the ones in the back. Win or lose tonight dowell will sign with a power 5 school in december and he will play in the nfl one day!

You know, I hope you’re right.

I would've thought the same until they absolutely steamrolled FC - didn't feel like FC was ever in the game.  They run the ball way, way better than FC, who ran it ok against Nolensville.  #9 DE for Nolensville was a huge factor against FC, but I don't think he will be against WC.  Firstly, he made many of his plays rushing the passer, and WC won't throw it.  Secondly, WC is about 3x more physical than FC up front and FC ran it ok against Nolensville.  He's a really good player, but the matchup isn't as favorable as with FC, who had no one up front to counter him.  Did feel like Nolensville's QB had an off-night against FC that he won't have against WC, since they don't have the athetes in the back-end to effectively play man-to-man like FC did.

Nolensville has a great home game atmosphere and that'll help.  Will be a high scoring game and should be a good one to watch.

FC had less than 60 yds rushing against Nolensville. They didn't run it OK.

I understand now. I e been really confused as to why WC seems to be so confident, but now I get it. They have had several 0-10 seasons, several other losing seasons, only one other good season (8-3), and one playoff win this century… which happens to be last week. Dowell is apparently the best player that has played there in recent history, if not ever. I can get behind the excitement now. Unfortunately, I still believe you have less than 12 hours left to enjoy it.

One more opinion then I'll sit back and see how it plays out.  A lot of stock in these predictions comes from the Nolensville v. Franklin Co. game.  It was a road game for the Knights, they went in with a target on their back as an undefeated region leader but had little to play for other than the record.  Nolensville is still a young school and this is its first year ever as a strong football favorite which may lead to inconsistent play at times. Walton had a poor game - probably his worst - of the season - against what some people say was a good secondary.  He bounced back last week.  Tonight they're at home and if Nolensville turns out for them they'll feed off that energy.  White Co. will need to get up by 2-3 scores early to pull this out.  May both teams leave their best on the field tonight.  Nolensville will have a bit of a rebuild next year so enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts.

It's true.....WC hasn't had much to brag about in a long time, but at one time we had FIVE players from WC play at UT. Interesting article.......

I was truly being serious when I said I understand. It’s also apparent that Dowell is the best player in some time at WC. I’m just telling you 100% he is not the best RB in the state. That’s not disrespectful.

Well depends  on the category we refer to, overall category maybe not…. Statistically yes he is.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
