Still a dodger in your eyes? Look Rankin at Alcoa kept a lot of really good teams from winning the championship in 2A and 3A, but that's just the way the cookie crumbles. You've got to beat them. Ain't nothing to it but to do it. People get mad at him for his reign but you have to respect it. I know a lot dads out there think they could win if they had his talent, and some could maybe, but could they sustain the success he had for that long? I doubt it. We've all seen plenty of teams that are loaded with talent fall short for one reason or another. How are the Irish going to fair against Rankin and company Boog? How are the Irish going to fair against Rankin and company Boog? very very tuff sleddin over on Vermont Ave for the Irish these days....far cry from the 2012-18 run.....this could be the 5th Sr Class in a row to not dress for a post season contest.....which means non of the Irish have never participated in a playoff game... .....wishin for a few clovers, some lucky charms and a pot of gold to happen up before fridays contest against the North Brainerd Levee Bucs at the swamp....if so......the GOAT will see a runnin clock after the break and when the buzzer blows there will be Uisca Beatha on the house for all.....compliments of Booger..... ......even a nip for you CoC closet partakers Booger just sayin Edited September 26, 2023 by Booger

Rather, I would judge him on Smith Co. and Riverdale where he took over subpar programs and made the big winners. His first team at Smith Co. finished 0-10, his final two teams finished 10-0. When he moved to Riverdale they had never been past Round 2 of the playoffs. After going 4-6 his first season, they lost more than one game once the rest of his tenure, and that was an 8-2 team that made the state final. As for Alcoa, he took over an excellent program and took it to another level.
