THIS IS THE FIFTH POLL OF THE SEASON. 

 

Now in its 30th year, The Poll is primarily a measure of dual meet strength with some consideration to individual tournament strength.   Votes are cast by a state-wide panel of high school wrestling coaches and are based on a maximum Power Ranking of 120.

Good wrestling all around.  I was a bit disappointed to see Wilson Central choose not to let their 220 not face MBA’s 220.  Two ranked number 1’s going at it would have been great!  Instead having Todd wrestle the HWT who has 50 lbs on him didn’t make sense to me since he still took the loss but I am not the coach.  Besides that, WC has some dudes.

with duals, any moves can happen. maybe the coaches thought it was best move for the team to bump the 220. maybe they thought it would maximize points or minimize opponent points. either way it worked for wilson.

Anyone have a box score for the FR/WC match?  It doesn’t seem like many have been talking about WC this year (which I found odd) but if they beat FR they are legit as usual.  The AA duals between Cleveland, Bradley, Summit and WC are going to be battles.
