This looks to be a pretty good region.  Who you got?

I see Bradley as the favorite in this one.  Is Coffee ready for the test after losing to McMinn last year?  A lot of questions after Bradley.

I said it earlier this year Coffee’s coach/ad should have scheduled a tougher schedule especially on the road, because more than likely they will be traveling for substate in a hostile environment. This is the best team they have had in a long time so why not challenge them some to make them better and more prepared? So what if they lose more than 5 games on the year they would have been battle tested and the only game that matters now is the next one.

Well they need to schedule those games away because they can’t get a fair game at home. The refs seem to be wearing their same jersey.

I've heard this from others as well.  Seems to be a good statement, that they need to be battle tested, did they not get upset last year by a average McMinn girls team in region?

Will they not be playing in the Blackman Region for Sub State?

Are you automatically assuming they will beat Cleveland?

It “should” be a good game, but CC should win if they play up to their potential,  no offense to Cleveland they don’t have as much talent on their roster or maybe they just played bad when I watched them play Bradley the first time. I will say they have definitely played a tougher schedule than Cofee and if they win that will be the reason why.

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
