BigMan101
Any word on how smith is looking this year? Had a very strong run to the quarters last year. Can they build off the momentum from last year and make a deep run?

Can they build off the momentum from last year and make a deep run? Do they return alot? If so, I would say they will do pretty well considering they moved down to 2A and didn't make any major changes. Don't know much about Smith County though. The west, especially in region 6, will be a gauntlet and most of those teams will be playoff ready or injured (don't wish this on any player or team) by the time post season comes around. Gonna be an exciting season!
BigMan101
I know they return their qb and running back. Kids are both studs. I think they lose a lot from the o line but return enough to where it’ll be decent line
Fan66
Return a guard a tackle a center and tight end on the o line have one more that played several snaps last year plus some more coming up will still be a big o line especially for 2 A
howdoitknow
Gordonsville, DeKalb County, Macon County, Trousdale County, East Robertson, Upperman, Westmoreland, and Monterey all are on the Owls schedule. That's a challenging schedule to say the least. Liberty Creek will also be a "wild card" because nobody knows just how good they'll be this year in year number one at the varsity level. With the pieces that Smith County returns in 2023 and the fact that they are now in 2A and don't have to play East Nashville in the playoffs I would say that the Owls have a strong shot at making a serious run to Chattanooga. JSCOTT
Smith has one of the best coaches around. Learned from his dad.

BigMan101
Qb was just a freshman last year and led them all the way to the quarters. Best year they’ve had in a long time. He has the ability to run it down teams throats and can beat you with his arm. And I’ve heard he’s already committed to Kentucky for baseball
scowlblast
Enough returning pieces to make some noise! Need some youngins on the front line to step up and If our backfield is healthy we will be okay! 2 me we are underdogs in the region though. Preseason we look to be fighting for 2nd place. East Robertson via social media has more D1 Athletes than UT! Not sure how they haven't had more success, but looking forward to that challenge. I like our chances though! ER is battling for second. Are you needing attention. They haven’t had success in the past due to a whole coaching staff. Also when you have a 6’5” athlete why wouldn’t you get recruited. Just taking one kid here. Not
