Pretty sure that this late Karns can't hire a "permanent" coach, per Knox County policy, so they have an interim in place for the 2023 season.

I understand Taylor is going to try a jump to college football, so if he got an offer somewhere, he should take it, because its so hard to make that jump. I thought he did a good job at Karns, he made them competitive and you could see the interest in the program pick up even at the JV and Freshman levels.

He's going to continue to teach at Karns in the fall.

Kind of hard to do that when you aren't in the city where you are coaching.  

Yes, he could theoretically coach at a Maryville College and teach at Karns, but that's really not a desirable path.  Very much part time and low pay.

Oh, true, my fault I didn’t read the entire thread, just your message, but yeah, I’ve known plenty of coaches who still teach but coach college. It’s only position coaches, I don’t think a coordinator or definitely a head coach will have time for that.
