If Union City upsets Ensworth, even the aliens watching us from Alpha Centauri will be shocked.

Ok listen I understand they are good but that doesn’t mean they are unbeatable. I’m sure they talent level is through the roof but is their heart. That’s one thing our our boys have is a ton of heart and if anyone knows anything about football, they know that heart can outshine talent on any given Friday Night. Bet against us but never count us out.

I don't think it'll be that shocking. South Pitt beat Lipscomb Academy 2017 and 2018 yes they didn't have the team they have now but I wouldn't be very surprised if UC pulls off the upset or at least keeps it close. Regardless it'll only make UC better.

that's not even a comparison.  LA won 3 games in those 2 years and was a door mat in D2-AA.  the second game SP won 7-0.  ensworth is picked to win their region.  this would be a team in the lowest of 9 divisions beating a team in the highest.

I have no clue what Ensworth has this year.   Just saying that it's possible and wouldn't surprise me.

I honestly think the game is going to be closer than many people think. If UC is able to get the offense going it is only going to play into their hands. They will eat that clock up and limit possessions for the opponent. This is a recipe for success. I think ensworth wins the contest but I would be shocked if it was a blow out.

It’s Game Day men and a Storm is brewing that will produce a large Tornado in Union City all Ensworth players and fans take shelter it’s heading straight at you. UC buckle those chin straps. Ensworth is a very good team but you all are also. Play the game the way everyone knows you can, execute on every play. Run block hit and tackle hard. Play the hard nose ball you always do. Silence the doubters. Let’s GO TORNADOS!!!!!!!!

Friday Night Lights is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
    • I say over as well. Barney, regarding the move to 4A, will the cross-town blowhards move up as well??
