Upper East tennessee girls basketball

Dobyns-Bennett started out the game last night 5-0 against Bearden and Natalya Hodge.  Lady 'Dawgs then went on a 35-2 run.  

Credit to the Lady Indians for never giving up and fighting back to only lose 59-49.  Pretty happy with the effort the ladies put in last night against a good Bearden squad.  Our run at the East tournament is over.  We have Elizabethton and South Greene next week.

The tribe is once again a strong team.  Should be a great season for you guys.  We play hv today for jv and cedarview varsity at 2.

Heard about that.  Heard the Wolves had them beat with a 6 point lead late in regulation but couldn't make a foul shot.

I know they played in boys Tuesday night at East.  I saw that one.  Don't believe they were scheduled to play in girls though.

Yes I watched it. I think it ended up being about a 30 point Volunteer win. They just have too much size for Unaka who is honestly not a bad team. They pass the ball well just a little under sized.

Unaka is well coached.  They have some speed with the Taylor girl and dugger is a good player for them.  I'm also impressed with NG so far. James has them competing with everyone and they're doing a lot better than I anticipated at this point.  Region 2 is pretty weak so I'm starting to wonder if it will be two teams from Region 1 going to state.

Good day of basketball today. Cland over tri cities 62-22. Unaka over twin springs and volunteer over Hampton.  Warrior will have to give us an update for them against cedarview.  Good to see you tonight my friend

Good to see you too buddy. We showed our youth against CedarView.  I think we won by 15 it was a bad performance.  I believe we get Volunteer tonight also at 630

Cland beat 4a volunteer 56-33.  We got the lady dogs at 8 pm

Cland with a big win over the lady dogs 53-46.  We were down 29-19 at halftime. The girls were jet legged and Matt challenged them in the locker room.  We out scored them 34-17 in the 2nd half.   It's always intense when these two play.
