Coaches having success

What is the it factor that good basketball coaches in the Knoxville area have that allows them to be successful and who has it and who doesn’t.

The best coach in Knoxville is Ricky Norris.  He has developed a program at Webb that will go compete against anyone anywhere.  

He prepares kids for college basketball and their system is bigger than one individual player.  Graduation comes and goes and Webb continues to be good year after year.  That is coaching.

What about schools like Farragut and Bearden that should be and in beardens case really good each year.

You would think that Farragut and Hardin Valley would always be successful given the size of the student bodies.

Ricky Norris would coach circles around Parrott at BHS. He relies heavily on his talent. That’s why in years with average talent, his teams don’t do as well. Look at his entire career before he rode the coattails of legendary Coach Mark Blevins.
