Snake Oil Coaches

There are a lot of coaches out there lying about who they are and what they know. I understand the game is about being able to learn it, but we tend to forget that you have to have some sort of the knowledge of the sport. I know this is a difficult thing to say, but you cannot just be a fan and coach the game. There should be something about having to be able to play it at least in high school if not college. Then if given a chance do not screw the schools you have been given a chance at. We already have a difficult enough time hiring good coaches and keeping them there. Thomas Morrell did this to my alma mater where he lied to the staff saying he was the best thing since slice bread and caused me a lot of problems. The guy can't coach and is full of himself. I guess that's what we get giving a guy who never stepped foot on a football field and just was a glorified towel boy.

I have seen some great coaches that were not good players. I guarantee it. It happens. Do you want to bet me? I have also seen some great players that were terrible coaches and or role models. One doesn't have very much to do with the other. Case in point.. Mike Leach.. he was the inventor of the Air Raid offense but did not play football. I guarantee it. The other thing I would mention is who out there really wants to do the job. They do not get paid much and are second guessed more than any other profession. Some coaches just get mercy ruled all the time and are not good coaches. I guarantee it. Do you want to bet me? I am Captain Guru and I approve this message.

Yes Mike Leach played for Cody Broncs football. I guarantee it. He did not play college football anywhere. I thought we were talking about not playing college ball. I knew the late Coach Leach played for Cody Broncs. I am Captain Guru and I approve this message.

Well if you are saying high school coaches have to play college football, then most  high school coaches would not exist.
