coulibaly
Where does Brentwood High go from here? They lose Austin Everson, who accounted for the majority of their offense, and Glaydon Lifsey, who can probably be replaced by Jared Fugate. Losing Everson, though, will be huge. They also lose the majority of their defense, including Steven Jones( who is vastly overrated, but still a good player), Luke Steckel, and the rest of the linebacking corps. I hate to say it, but next year doesn't look too bright for BHS. Even Crawford will have trouble making them contenders. Not to mention Les Steckel, and Jones' dad will most likely move on. warriordawg31
That is exactly what everyone said about Riverdale after they graduated 28 seniors, including both Mr. Football winners last year. Get a good coach, and some talented players (not superstars) that believe in themselves, and watch out. You certainly have the coach. We started nine new faces on both sides of the ball, and almost won it all. Once kids get a taste of winning they like it, and I bet Brentwood will be fine next year. DAD1
Some of your info is just a little wrong...Steckel is the ONLY linebacker graduating. The QB will probably be Thomas Welch which you saw Sat. night when Everson went to TB. Thomas is 6'5" and about 215 and is a young 15 yrs old with a rifle arm. Moore is back as receiver and db with several of the younger wr's getting lots of time during the regular season. True they loose a great Senior class but the foundation is still there and Crawford will put together another great D. They will be competitive. fromthetop2
Last year the Bruins lost all their wide receivers, both defensive ends and all of their linebackers and secondary, as well as their best offensive lineman and top running back. Next year they will return all but one linebacker, one corner, most of the wide receivers. Qb will be a challenge, but Thomas Welch got great experience this year. Bruins threw the ball to 18 different wide receivers and had a remarkable 56 players make tackles. Also the JV team went undefeated. Mike Jones is staying on. Drop off, maybe at the start of the season, but by mid-season they will be strong. When Austen started at QB last year, we had lost 29 seniors and Matt Henshaw at QB and worried how in the world could he compare to Matt? Kids step up each year and become players. srob4ut
I was going to the championship game but I thought it might rain and Brentwood would cancel.

DAD1
You were obviously going as a casual spectator since your team was at home!

fromthetop2
Well, guess what? If you win your region you get to make those decisions. Maybe someday you might get that chance, but then again, probably not. Frankly, the reason it was rescheduled is because all of our limo drivers were working the CMA Award show that night and there was no one left to drive the players and fans to the game. DAD1
That is a bunch of crap! Since we all own our own limos and have full time drivers that was of no concern. However, too much humidity tends to suppress the full bouquet of our fine wines and dulls the pungent taste of the little fish eggs! How much could we be expected to endure?
