This is not like last year's board on this game. Did not make the game but heard never was close. Did Seq. lose that many players from last year ?? Do they have any good ones coming in? Grundy will make a run for the state again b/c they have got some good ones coming in. All of them are kin to the ones who won the state.

The Sequatchie girls lost four seniors from last year.

All four were starters. We have four Seniors this year

but this is their first year to really have floor time.

It's taking time for the starting five th mesh together.

We have a very young bench. A freshman for the number

6 man, etc. We could be a much better team than what

we are showing if the team would play consistant. We

played right with Grundy the first quarter and then just

self destructed. Couldn't hit a foul shot all night.

There are just a few minor adjustments that need to be made

and Sequatchie will be a threat to all teams in our District. As far as Grundy being state bound material, I

don't think so. They have to get past McMinn Central in

the Regions. I don't see that happening.

Maybe you will get better. Just keep working together in maybe you will mesh. When I mentioned the state I was talking about in a few years. Maybe you have not saw some of the elementary teams play. McMinn is tough but you gotta believe that you can way. ANYONE is beatable

The way the Sequatchie Boys frustrated and handled the Grundy boys was worth the whole trip in there 72-46 Win!

 

I think the game will be a lot better for the Lady Indians when the game is in Dunlap later in the season.

 

Also why is Sequatchie not playing in the Seq. Valley Tournament? or are they?:confused:

Sequatchie Co. is playing at East Ridge Dec 20 and 21. The

coaches wanted a change. The only teams at Whitwell last

year were District teams, and coaches don't like playing

them any more than they have to. Our girls play GPS Friday

night at 6:00p.m. and our boys play McCallie following.

The girls play Howard at 3:00 on Saturday I'm not sure

who the boys play on Saturday. Yes I know that Howard is

a District team but we're not playing the valley teams

over and over again!!! Our girls should have a good

tournament, but the boys have their work cut out for them

playing McCallie.

The Sequatchie boys play East Literature on Saturday but

I don't know what time. I would assume it is before or

after the girls 3:00 game. All games are played at East

Ridge High School.

Try to keep us who can't make it updated on scores with the boys game as well!
