dyersburg wins 77-61.dyersburg lead 48-24 after leading 22-14 at the end of one quarter.dyersburg lead 64-38 after 3 quarters and lead by as many as 29 before pisgah hit three consecutive threes to get as close as 16 to finish the championship game.jeremy taylor was the mvp of the tournament.

I got the opportunity to be with that team (Pisgah) while they were in Martin. No doubt the locals were pulling for this team. The school had only 190 students. Everyone on the team was a little white boy. The tallest player was only a little or 6'. On Saturday night they beat the Westview by 16. Their 6' post lite Marcus Bright up for 36 points. All of the basketball players are football players and they have only been together out of football for about three weeks. They came into the game 10-0. They played with so much intensity and heart you could not help but root for them. Their was a good crowd on hand to watch what everyone thought could be a upset of Dyersburg. Dyersburg came into the game ready to play and proved that when they play hard and together, they are a very good team. Pisgah Ala, could not help but thinking about Indianas version of Hickory!

FYI - Marcus Bright graduated last year. I think you meant Marlon, his little brother. I agree I thought Dyersburg had a very good team. I'm suprised that we haven't heard more about them. Why is that?

There was no tournament in Dyer Co. because they were not allowed to host one. It was a classic, and yes the better basketball teams played there this weekend.

 

Dyersburg is the best team in West Tennessee this year outside of Memphis. The reason you have not heard of Dyersburg that much this year is because every fan of D'burg does not feel the need to get on here and report every score of every game. That is what the scoreboard is for.
